Eye exercises can strengthen the eye muscles, improve focus, eye movements and stimulate the center of the brain’s vision. These help counteract existing eye problems, maintain the current level of vision and even improve many sight conditions , especially when practiced in conjunction with specific nutrients for visual health such as (search at amazon “B00J2GBIU4” )astaxanthin, , (search at amazon “B001B4P0I6” )vitamin A, , (search at amazon “B01A0CV80I” )lutein, , among others.

These eye exercises not only help to improve vision, they can also be used as a preventative measure, for example; if you spend a lot of time in front of the PC, watching television, genetic predisposition or your eyes simply get tired easily. Here are 10 simple exercises to improve visual health.

Benefits of eye exercises

Our eyes are constantly busy; watching computer monitors, on our cell phones and then to the television. These and other factors can reduce the quality of our vision. Practice eye exercises, keep them strong, and it will provide the following benefits:

    • Reduces the risk of developing eye diseases.
    • Eliminates red eyes.
    • Reduces fatigue and stress in the eyes.
    • Improves concentration.
    • Sometimes it fights migraines.
    • Increases peripheral vision.

10 Eye exercises to improve vision

1. Blink frequently for 2 minutes. This exercise normalizes the intraocular blood circulation.

2. Make circular rotations with the head: from side to side and from top to bottom. These movements activate blood circulation.

3. Standing in front, look right or left completely (moving only the eyes in the direction you choose) and then move your eyes in a straight line in the opposite direction.

4. Rub your hands for a few seconds until they warm up a bit. Now, with your eyes closed, apply your lower wrists to your eyes for a few minutes. This helps to relax the eyes and allows them to be used for longer before getting tired.

5. Move your eyes in different directions: left-right, up-down, in a circle, drawing an “eight (8)”.

6. Close your eyes for 3-6 seconds and then open them. Repeat 7 times. This exercise relaxes the eye muscles and activates blood circulation.

7. Press the upper eyelids with your fingers, but without much pressure, hold that position for about 2 seconds. Repeat 4-5 times. Exercise improves the passage of intraocular fluid.

8. Draw with open eyes in the air, first simple geometric forms and then more complex compositions.

9. Close your eyes and slowly move your eyeballs to the top then down again. Repeat 5 to 10 times.

10. Position yourself at the side of a window, focus on a nearby object (for example, a point on the glass) and then move the view towards a distant object (a house, tree, or anything). Repeat about 10 times. This is one of the best eye exercises, plus you can practice it anywhere, I do it when I’m in the gym.

We all know how important it is to stay active by doing regular exercise to maintain our health, but most of us neglect our eyes until they deteriorated.  These eye exercises are key steps to maintaining visual health until old age.
